Do most of you tip your mousekeeper everyday or when you are about to leave? :cheer2:

Every day (generally $1/person in the room) because you may not have the same Mousekeeper every day. When we stayed at CSR, our MK loved getting our little envelopes everyday that I had printed out.

I tip daily because I want the person who did the work to get the tip. :)

We are a family of 4 and tip $5 daily as we want the Mousekeeper who did the work each day to get the tip.

We left $5 every day. We had 4 people in the room, but it was just easier to leave a $5 bill. We printed off Mousekeeping envelopes from the mouse for less to put the "tip" in. My boys really enjoyed picking out an envelope for each day and putting the money in it. :)

I don't tip unless I have asked them to do something above their normal job. The last day we left more trash than normal so I left a tip. Otherwise for what is to be expected I don't tip and have always had a clean room.

My nephew and I are going for the first time by ourselves in July and I was wondering the same thing. What is the fair amount to tip? To me $2 per day seems cheap while $5 per day seems like a lot for two guests, especially if by chance you get the same mousekeeper on multiple days.

If we don't use pre-made envelopes where is the best place to leave the tip: nightstand? If there is stationary and pens in the rooms at POP I was planning on putting a quick thank you note on top of it each day.

We always leave $ 2. Leave it every day because you will almost never have the same mousekeeper every day. I leave it on top of the bed where it won't be missed. (And it never has been.) I think $1 per person is fine unless you are real slobs.

There is a little notepad with a pen by the phone...well, there should be if housekeeping did its job! :)

Making up cute envelopes is great for people who enjoy that, but most housekeepers couldn't care less about it. The thrill of Mickey Mouse probably wears off after they've cleaned about 100 of Mickey's rooms. ;) The cute envelopes get thrown away...it's the tip they like. :teeth:
