I used to be so picky that I would wait for fireworks that started at 930pm as early as 7pm! people thought I was crazy but I just had to sit right in front of the castle! after doing this for so long I figured out that to be in front of the castle you do not have to be there hours earlier :)

ok so right now since its the busy season, you can sit down and wait for the fireworks but they are eventually going to make you stand up! they do this about 20-30 minutes before the show actually starts, what you can do when you see people starting to sit in front of the castle is ask a castmember around what time they will make everyone stand up so you can return at that time.

Around 9ish they ask everyone to stand up and move back, which makes alot of room! since a lot of poeple are camping out on huge blankets and stuff :) good luck!

Now Fantasmic! again, I used to wait hours befre to the right on the rail and right in the middle :) Now, I just started standing around the pirates of the carribean bridge right when the first showing of Fanstasmic! was ending (around where the dragon comes out) and start sneaking up to where the people are sitting when its about to finish (when the mark twain comes out) and just walk right up to the front for the 2nd showing as the first set of people are leaving! (You have to wait until the end becuase you are not allowed to just stand there around the rivers, the castmemeber have lights directing people which way to walk and will make you keep walking if you jsut stand there)

I know I said F! and fireworks but I have one for world of color too :)

if you dont feel like standing in line at 7am to get into california adventure (when they dont open until 10am) to get a fastpass for world of color I would just wait until they open to go get the fastpass.

Ok, on the fastpass tickets they have a color on the ticket that lets you know what section you will be sitting in. Obviously the first tickets have the best seating, when I went I got in line when they opened at 10 (had to wait an hr in the fastpass line but I think it was bc it was the monday after the debut) we got the last section, not the worst just not the best, BUT there is a "wet zone" that you can sit in no matter what ur pass says, its right in the front of Mickeys Fun Wheel and im not gonna lie you WILL GET WET but if you dont mind its an amazing view and you are as close as possible :)

Just got back. World of Color is amazing. You won't only get wet in the Splash Zone...you will be DRENCHED. Ask me how I know...:rotfl::rotfl2::yay::dance3:

Depends on the wind. We didn't get wet at all.

yep depends on wind... i was in red, did not get drenched.. but a light sprinkle! it wasn't bad. i disagree about not waiting an hour in front of the castle to get a good spot for fireworks. i know we have discussed this before in other threads, but it's rude to just barge in onto someone's personal space when they have been there for a while waiting for the firework show...and the same for F! you want a good spot . do the wait, camp it out! hey it's really not that bad!

hey hdyroguy has a wonderfull thread on firework stuff.. try these tips out!

I get the firework thing going in to someones space but Not for the F show. She is talking about as the people leave the first show to get a spot. How would you camp out for the F second show when you cant because people are in the area watching the first show. And really it sounds like she is camping out an area in the only area she is allowed to.

Im just not getting how she is in someones space when they are leaving the first show so she can see the second show.

What the OP is explaining regarding geting a seat for the second showing of F! is perfectly okay, if that is what you are referring to. Waiting near that area during the end of the first show and then moving forward to get a seat as those people are leaving is the best way to get a seat for the second show. :)

darlenesmommy: I totally agree with your comments. I was typing my post before yours showed up, and my thoughts were the same as yours. :-)

Yes, that's been my experience with the fireworks show. Specifically in the front castle area, huge areas open up when people are asked to stand, and they don't necessarily always get filled in so there are open areas that you can't see from the outside. Was just there on Sunday, while waiting we were packed like sardines, but when asked to stand a huge area large enough for someone to Breakdance appeared behind us and stayed liked that for most of the show.
