What time did you go?
What was the best thing to eat?
Do you seat yourself? Where are the best seats?
Inside or outside?
How long was your meal?
Do you go enjoy the park early on a MM and then eat or eat early, then play?
Do they do photos like GK & SU!?

We are a group of 9 adults & 6kids (3 families of 2A & 2k each, and 3 grandparents) should we sit together or maybe just get tables close to each other?

Help!

We've gone every trip for the last few years. When the park opens at 8am, we tend to set our ressie for about 9:30. We've found this to be a pretty good time as some of the characters are finishing rounds & a new set are coming on. One of the times we saw 14 characters!!! 11 of them made it to our table......it was awesome!

The made to order omelets are very good.....stay away from the scrambled eggs that are pre-made...ewwww!

The host/hostess seats you.

We prefer sitting outside. The inside can get pretty noisy & crowded. You also can people watch between characters!

You're allowed 90 mins for the character meals. We tend to stay pretty close to the limit. Some people they're losing out on "park" time, but we feel the character meals is just another Disney experience & we're getting great character interaction. Much rather do that while we're having a meal, then to stand in very long character lines out & about in the parks.

We have done it after MM, but also on non-MM days. We usually get an hour or so of park time in, & then eat breakfast.

Yes, they do the photo packages at Minnie's!

What time did you go?

7:10 AM on an early entry morning. We have APs and weren't staying onsite, so don't get MM anyway. We had multiple days at the parks so decided it was worth it to spend one of our early mornings this way.

What was the best thing to eat?

The made-to-order omelets. The boys liked the mini Mickey waffles as well.

Do you seat yourself? Where are the best seats?
Inside or outside?

They seated us. We have eaten outside there often when we get the counter service food there later in the day, but when we went for the character meal, we were seated inside and liked it. When the restaurant started to fill up more by the end of our visit, it did get a little bit loud though.

How long was your meal?

We stayed for the full 90 minutes they allot you.

Do you go enjoy the park early on a MM and then eat or eat early, then play?

I think this depends on preference and how many days you are in the parks. If you're only there for 2 or 3 days, you would probably do better to use the early mornings for riding and collecting fastpasses and eat later in the morning. If you're going to be there for more than 3 days, you could certainly spare a day for an early morning meal, especially if you only have one early entry available to you and have already used it but it's an early entry day again.

Do they do photos like GK & SU!?

They did photos, but it was not a photo with a character, just a family photo right outside the restaurant before they seat you.

You should definitely call Disney dining to make a PS. Check if they will accommodate that size party all sitting together. I think they might be able to...there was a very large group behind us when we went last month, at least a dozen people and they were seated together. It seems like you would have more fun all seated together. If not right together, especially if you want to be outside, you should be able to get a group of tables located near each other.

We very much enjoyed our experience there. We had a 9am on our last day in the parks. We didn't have MM, so we just went to the park when it opened. We rode Dumbo and the Teacups, then went and checked in at the Plaza.

We were seated outside, but against the window. I really liked being outside, because we got to watch all the people walking by in the park and look at all the decorations (it was during the xmas season) and that kind of thing.

DH really loved the made to order omelette. I got the mickey waffles which I loved. All the drinks we tried (apple juice, orange juice, hot cocoa, choc. milk) were great. The fresh fruit was wonderful. Honestly, the only thing that wasn't really really good was the sausage links.

We didn't feel the photo was worth it for us. They just take it of your party standing with a sign. We got better pics ourselves during the meal, with all the characters.

I actually had no clue there was a time limit...so i'm not sure how long we stayed. We didn't get tossed out though, so I'm guessing we didn't over stay the 90 minutes, lol.

Silly question: do the characters do autographs during the character meals? My kids want autographs so I'm wondering if we can take care of this then instead of randomly in the park.

Yes characters sign autograph books, dance with the kids, give big hugs, and do amazing interaction with the little ones. ( Big people to-- lol baloo stood behind me -- scaring me so much I screamed -- yes at the breakfast table. Grand kids thought that was so funny.) We did Goofy's but I hear Plaza is great to.

We actually have a reservation for next Wednesday. We weren't asked if we preferred indoor or outdoor seating. Will we be given that option when we arrive? I think I would prefer outdoor provided we will have as many character interactions as if we were inside.
