Haven't visited the UK in a few years, can anyone guide me regarding tipping ? Taxi's? Restaurants etc?

Thank you!!

I usually tip up to 10% in restaurants - but not if a service charge has also been added or the service is bad. (And I try to leave it as cash if I have it on me.)

As above I tip about 10% in restaurants unless poor service. Tipping isn't essential in the UK as the staff get at least minimum wage and service tends to be included in most places

I always leave a tip but if bill was £100 I wld not leave a 10% tip if just the 2 of us( not that I ever spend £100 for two of us over here)!:) I tend to leave a couple of £ for a £30 meal. As others have said its not essential to tip but it makes me feel better.

You won't need to tip in shops, taxis etc. I usually give taxi drivers the change if it's not much. But it's nice to leave a tip even if a small one in a restaurant, if the service and food was good. I work with a chef and we always appreciate a tip as a sign we are doing things well.
