Ok I am a bit confused. If I have already paid for my DDP and use my KTTW when we actually eat, how is that automatic 18% you are "expected" to leave( if it is not figured into the meal) suppose to work? Do you leave cash on the table or do they charge your KTTW and then when you check out of the hotel you have a nice fat "tip" bill.
I am just trying to figure out in advance how much real cash we will need to bring. Or if I need to just accept the fact that even though we "thought" most of the trip was prepaid, it actually isn't and be prepared to hand over the Visa to pay off the tips.

It is my understanding that at the end of your meal you will receive a receipt and you can either pay the tip with cash or however you wish, whether it be your KTTW or other cc.

We did not have any charging privileges on our key DPP cards. So I was always knew that tips would come from cash or another credit card.

I only used cash no credit. I used the 18% or 20% as a Tip guideline not as fact. As with any other restuarant in any other place the tip was determined according to service and type of meal.

Most of the time I paid 18% even for a buffet but only paid 15% if the service was very bad (only once and it was very bad).

what is KTTW
Wow so now I have to bring an extra few hundred dollars for tipping, oye !!
