Hello,

I believe that with an annual pass you can get free valet parking at the resorts. We are staying offsite but plan to visit some of the resorts for dinner.

Just wandering how much we should tip the Valet if we use this service.

Thanks Kirsten

I don't believe that is the case. There is free valet with Tables in Wonderland, however.

Tipping is up to you. The standard quote is $2 on return (attributed to Emily Post, IIRC), but some folks tip both the person taking the car, and the person returning it, some tip $5, some even more.

sorry that is what I meant we will have one of those as well, that will teach me for posting without my caffine fix LOL.

Thanks very much for that, we don't tip here that much in the UK and I would hate to be doing someone out of money cause I wasn't sure what I was doing.

The free valet parking is limited to three hours and you must show a receipt from dining at that resort for that time period when you leave. Or you will pay for your valet parking as well as tipping. But since you have an AP or PAP (you have to have one of these to get the TiW card or be a FL resident), you can get free parking at the theme parks anyway.

Parking valets make very little as an hourly wage and depend on tips to make a living. I normally tip $3 on drop off and $3 again at pick up. It's up to you what you feel comfortable with.

I thought the only eateries that comp'd valet parking were
. . . V&A (GF)
. . . Swan and Dolphin

Disney guest vehicles with handicap card/license plate get free valet parking, too. I tip $1 at arrival, $2 at return.

Unless it has changed this year, previously it was at any resort restaurant that accepts TIW. I know we didn'thave to pay for valet parking when we ate at Narcoossee's in December.
