Tipping the gas station attendant?

Yes, I do tip the gas attendants when I use full serve. We live in New England and when its freezing cold, it's well worth an extra dollar to sit warm in side my car.

I've not once tipped my husband, but some nights when he's really annoying, perhaps his tip is that I let him stay in the house instead of throwing him out in the cold!!

Although we live in NC for now, we are from MA and never tipped a full service Gas Station attendant...though we did wonder about it now and then on a bitterly cold winter day.

My godson used to tip for full service when he first began driving - no idea if he still does now that he's been driving for several years. He has always had the notion that anyone who provides a service gets tipped....gee, think he got that 'notion' from his godmother during all the years he traveled with mw.

I live in Western PA and can't tell you the last time I had my gas pumped. The station I go to doesn't even have full serve pumps. I can think of one station in the area that does, it's a small local owned station and the price is way higher.

No I don't tip and I generally avoid pumping my own gas. The full service stations here are cheaper than pump it your self. They only pump the gas, that's their job. What they get paid for. Now if they were to wash my windows or check my oil like they did back in the day, I might give them a buck.
