Hi everyone-
Getting ready to go- a year's countdown almost done and had a question I haven't seen before- I know you pay for the entire round trip when you're first picked up but what about the tips. I'm not sure if it's the same driver both ways or not so I'm leaning toward each way. How much should I tip them? 15% plus the # of bags?

Thanks so much to everyone for their advice and help. I don't think I'd be as excited if I couldn't live the cruise experience each day with you! - and if anyone gets a chance to take a picture of the Magic on Saturday, we'll be on her!!

If it helps at all, we're taking a limo with Florida Tours this weekend. For limos, the tip is included, and the amount is 20%.

Thanks Jimbo- If you're leaving on the Magic this Sat. we'll see you there!

Actually, I looked at their website again and it says-
8) What is appropriate gratuity to the driver?
Most of our drives tell us they earn on an average $10.00 from airport to resort transfers and $15.00 to cruise transfers. Although your round trip fare is due at when you reach your first destination, we recommend you tip your drivers on a per transfer basis.

I have used Florida tours on several occaisions and sometimes has been the same driver and sometimes not. I think that's why they suggest that you tip per trip.

I think giving 20% is kind of the "standard" in the limo/town car business.

Have a great trip!

P.S. Make sure you bring cash, unless something has changed, they don't accept credit cards!

This question has always bothered me... The limo companies I have used have included a 20% gratuity. I usually tip extra based on service but never sure what amount that should be. Someone told me once that limo drivers are similar to hotel room service personnel in that they only get a percentage of what is "automatically" charged by the company. Does anyone know the industry standard??? One time a driver told me the tip was NOT included and I had to pull out my paperwork to show him that it was. I don't want to seem ungrateful and afterall, at the end of the hour we get to go on the cruise and he (or she) has to turn around and drive back to Orlando.
