Tipping Questions?

I have heard alot about tipping on your news letters. What should we expect. We have never been on a cruise. How much do you tip. How much cash should we bring for this? Does it get charged to your room or do you give them cash each time? I know this sounds crazy but I really don't know. . Is there any excursions for the eastern that would be highly recommened. Dh does not swim, but I love the water.
Thanks for the help. I'm reading every day, some times 2 or 3 times. I can't wait to go on our first cruise!

What about gratuities?

It is customary to give gratuities in recognition of service, which you will most likely be treated to in abundance aboard the ship. As a guideline, may we suggest the following:

For your convenience, a 15% gratuity is automatically added to bar, beverage, wine and deck service tabs. All gratuities can be charged to your room charge.

At the Walt Disney World® Resort, 15% is the customary gratuity at restaurants and bars.


As for it getting charged to your room, you can either put cash in the envelope provided and give it to your servers/room steward OR you can go to Guest Services and charge it and they will give you a slip that you can put in the envelope.
