Tipping Question

Hello Everyone,

First let me say Thanks for the advice so far (asked and not asked).
Now I have another question. I have booked a 2brm at Cypress Point (not the Grand Villa's) through Hotel Kingdom. I know that daily housekeeping in not included. However it dawned on me that someone has to clean the room after we leave. I normaly tip for housekeeping on a daily basis when we stay in a hotel. However should I tip for the housekeeper when she cleans the room for the final time after we check out? Am I still suppose to tip for the whole week or just for that day? I have never stayed in a time share place before and know that alot of these housekeeper depend on tips as part of their wage I just don't know properly how to do this. Is it even expected at a resort such as this or since we won't get daily service? Thanks for bearing with my lack of knoweldge on this.

I wouldn't see any reason to tip if you received no services. Of course, they have to clean the place after you leave, but I wouldn't tip for that.

What does everyone else think?

I suspect very few people tip. Housekeeping is not cleaning the room during your stay. I guess I might tip if I left an extraordinary mess (one of the kids got sick).

I would definetly not tip, as I am not the one getting the service. That is an obligation of the hotel/resort to clean each room between guests. I think this is completely different than the daily housekeeping we receive.
