Tipping question

Hiya,

We're coming to Oahu from Australia in a couple of weeks and I have a tipping question...

I was planing on ordering a grocery delivery from Walmart (dry goods only) to our hotel in Waikiki for the morning we arrive. Thinking that it would just be given to the front desk and would be ready for us to collect when we check in. However, would this type of a delivery require a tip to the driver, and therefore be rude for front desk to receive?

You can add a tip for the driver at the time you place the order. You have 24 hours from time of delivery to adjust the amount.

You'll also want cash to tip the bellman at the hotel.

Also, a good idea to call the hotel and double check delivery availability and if there are any other charges before you place your order.

Was coming to say this. They aren’t going to want to hand you a bunch of grocery bags at the front desk. They’ll want you to have bell services bring it up, so you’ll want to tip them. If it’s just one small item (like the snorkel mask I had to ship to Aulani), they will have that at the concierge desk for you.
