For all you Palos dinner cruisers, I have a question on the tipping policies.

Since this is our first trip and we plan on eating at Palos, how does the tipping work for our servers. I know we pay $5.00 a person for the reservations, do we leave a tip on the table also?

Looking for all thise experienced cruises for an answer.

thanks

We tipped our Palos's server on our Feb. cruise. The service was awesome, and we didn't feel the $5 was enough. The food was great, the dessert - awesome! Get the chocolate hazelnut souffle, wow! It was a great dining experience.

Enjoy your cruise!

We also received excellent service so we tipped what we would have for the equivalent meal in an equivalent class of rest.

We typically leave another $20.00 over and above the $5.00 pp service charge. We figure $30.00 is about what we would tip for a meal in a nice restaurant. Don't forget, any alcoholic beverages you purchase in Palo will have the 15% auto gratuity added....

Thanks to everyone that posted. That is what I had figured. There will be four of us dining so I'll figure a good cash tip for our servers.

The "tips" in palos get split up more (head server, rest manager etc) than the other restaurants, and therefore the server gets less of the $5 than would your regular server.
So if you like the service you shuold put more on it to reward the individual.

Just a note Kenny, you can add a gratuity to your CHARGE slip that they will use to charge you the $5 per person fee. No need to bring cash. :)

Thanks Michelle for the tip
(ha Ha) thats a funny
