Am I supposed to tip them? We only get the Trash & Towel service and the few times we did request something they never showed and we had to call again and again.

I didn't know we were supposed to tip. Now, I am a generous tipper as I waited tables in college so I know how it is. I feel awful if I was supposed to be tipping the last few years and haven't! If you tip do you get better service?

Disney's housekeepers are non-tipped personnel. There is no obligation to tip them. If you would like to give them, or any custodial personnel, for that matter, a gratuity, you're welcome to, though they are technically supposed to decline it. (That never really happens, though.)

If you do a search on this board for "tipping" I'm sure you will find several threads about this very topic.

We do tip housekeeping...after all, when we checked in the unit hadn't magically cleaned itself and then they clean again when we leave. But I would hesitate to leave much of a tip if I called them during my stay and they didn't respond.

It's a personal preference. We tend to overtip a bit, figuring it's still the lowest cost area of our vacation. ;)

Well when we where at disney during hurricane Charlie I learned how important a tip can be. We were at Pop and I tipped each morning. I have been told I tip to much. I travel with kids and some times things get a bit messy, lots of towels and bedding. Now during the hurricane and the days before and after everyone got a note that there would be no housekeeper. We got our room cleaned each and every day. I watched the staff walk by whole rows of rooms to get to ours to clean.

Thanks for your replies. I'll do a search. I printed some tip envelopes that I found. Any tip would be a nice gesture so I'm going to do it. I never even thought about it before..wish I had. Everyone likes surprises!
