We will have connecting rooms at Pop, with our some of our children in one, and dh and I and the rest in the other. Should I leave a tip in both rooms, or just in one?
And on the same note, should I close the connecting door each day while we are out?

I would leave a tip in both, you might not have the same housekeeper for both rooms. As far as the connecting door, I don't think it matters open or shut.

I agree. However, I would close the door when not in room.

We had connecting rooms on our visit. We kept the door open and left a tip in both rooms. Have a great trip! :flower:

We had a connecting room w/ the IL's at POFQ in May. I tipped daily in my room. Around the 2nd or 3rd day, MIL started having to borrow kleenex from our room. FIL finally asked us if we were tipping every day. He had planned to tip at the end of the week. Maybe the daily tipping made sure we got better service. Who knows, but it reinforced to me to tip daily - and I would leave a tip in both rooms if I were you.

We usually closed the connecting door when we left, but I don't think it matters.

We recently stayed in 2 rooms at ASMu. I tipped in only our room, and left the door open each day. Then on our 2nd to last day I got back early, and realized we had different maids!!

I hoped they had been sharing the tips, because I left enough for 2 rooms, but I have no idea. So, on the last day, I left a BIG tip in the kids' room, hoping to make up for missing out all week(maybe).

I have no idea how it turned out between the 2 maids, but we had excellent service in both rooms. In fact, we got towel animals in the kids' room, and nice motes each day in our room.

Next time I'll just leave a tip in each room!! Less worrying for me about being fair.

When we got to our connecting rooms earlier this month, there was a little note in each room from same person, 'introducing' herself as housekeeping, and saying she hoped we'd have a good stay. I took that to mean that the same person would be taking care of both rooms, and taped the tip for both to the mirror in my room. The envelope the tip was in had both rooms' numbers on it, and there didn't seem to be any problem with that. I did use singles so the tip could've been split if needed. We kept the connecting door open all the time, for the most part.
