We have the ddp for seven nights in october. WE are doing one ts per day at normal places (prime time, whispering canyon, akershus, cp, boma...). Can anyone give me a rough estimate of what I am going to pay out in tips over those seven nights? I know it depends on how much we order, but I just need a rough idea of what you think I might need to have budgeted. Ps..there are two adults and two kids.

I would say a rough estimate is $100 to $150.

Adult TS meals (With drink and dessert) seem to average about the $38 that the plan costs, kid ts meals average about the $10 the kids plan costs. So the daily plan is $96, the weekly cost is 672. 18% of that is $120.

Some meals may cost less, some a little more...but that's the joy of averages.

Hope it helps. :) Sheli

At three of the ones you mentioned, you already know the cost of your meal because they are buffets. At the other two, look at the menu and do a ballpark average on the cost for each adult and each child. Then estimate your tip.

I actually did an excel worksheet with each TS we had booked and priced out each of our meals. For my family of 3 adults (really 2 adults and a 10yr old) and 1 child (7yo), tips averaged out to be $20 for a 15% tip. I know others do 18-20%, but I ran my #s using a 15% tip since that it what I tip for okay service. I'm guessing a safe $ for you would be $140. Try allears.net to look up menus and pricing.
