Is is customary to tip the concierge staff and, if so, what are the guidelines? Does it depend on your length of stay and what services they have provided (ie PS arrangements)? I also have seen mention of bringing or sending small gifts to the concierge staff. Please let me know what is appropriate.

Thanks!!!

You may get differing opinions on this, but the general consensus seems to be that concierge staff won't accept monetary tips but will accept gifts. A lot of people here have sent gift baskets from the WDW florist, some send flowers, some give boxes of Godiva chocolates and some make up little gift baskets with goodies from their hometown.

From what I have heard, the concierge staff are particularly appreciative of these gifts. I think giving the gifts a couple of days in to your trip is a good idea, particularly if you want to single out someone who has been particularly helpful. I think it's up to the individual what to give or when to give it- I'm sure some people don't give anything at all, and I don't think concierge expect it. IMO, it's always nice to get an unexpected surprise, so I imagine concierge staff feel the same!

Have a great vacation

Conciege isn't supposed to be tipped with cash. In any event I did both. I tipped cash to those who helped me while I was there as well as bringing a gift basket from home. THey took and seemed to appreciate both. I was glad I did. They were absolutely wonderful, before and during my stay.

After e-mailing, faxing and calling the BC Concierge, I finally got the itinerary I wanted. (I kept changing my mind!!) The women I spoke with at the Concierge desk were so gracious that I sent them a Cookie Bouquet. I received a very nice e-mail thanking me and reminding me that it was their job to help with all of our arrangements. Very professional staff and I wanted them to know I appreciated all their efforts.
