Tipping at Palos

Do you tip your server at Palos? How much? Our server let us in on the fact he does not get the $10. fee. Our group of 8 had a bit of a disagreement on what is appropiate.

Yes, we tipped over and above the fee. Well worth it for the service we got!

We did tip, but had a hard time agreeing on how much. We finally based our tip on what we would pay for the meal we just ate in our home town. Some of us were from Texas, while others were from NY. We had a quite a difference on what we would usually pay between the couples.

We tip based on what we would pay for that meal at an upscale restaurant, say Jiko/Flying Fish/CA Grill, etc. A meal for two people at Palo would easily be in the $150 on up range with all that they bring you. You probably get $50 worth of desserts alone..lol.

Anyway, we tip 20percent plus based on that and the service.
