Tipping at hotel??

When we get to the Beach Club will someone take our bags to our room or will we take them ourselves?? If they take them, do you tip and if so how much?

I usually tip $1 per bag. Sometimes, if I have a couple of small backpacks, I'll just count them as one since they are so small. For exceptional service, I'll throw in an extra buck or two.

There are usually 2 people involved with your luggage at the WDW deluxe resorts. When you pull in, one person unloads your car and takes your things inside. Be sure to tip him/her. After you check in, a different person brings the luggage upstairs. This person should be tipped too.

Oops. I don't think I tip the guy who takes them from the car.

Also, last time at Beach Club, a bell took our bags from our room to the loading area. Then our van came and a different guy put our bags on, then stood around looking for a tip. I was already on the van and had tipped the guy in the room - assuming he would put them on the van. Instead, he just dropped them on the pavement and left. I didn't realize I had to tip both guys and I just sat on the van unsure of what to do. So we drove away and the second guy never got his tip.

Personally, I think tipping once each way is enough.

Hi wdwmom2, have a great time in the world. Tipping is a personal thing. My standards do not have to be anyone else's. When on vacation the less I have to do the better. Any one who carries bags for me, cleans my room, or waits on me in a courteous and efficient manner will receive a tip. Let the service and your satisfaction guide you. Have fun .
