Do you tip at Boma's buffett? I would think something like $5???:confused3 Going to be there in a couple weeks and counting.:woohoo::yay:

Thank you! :thumbsup2

It's all up to the individual. I would never tell someone they were right or wrong for what they thought was an appropriate gratuity.

Tip what you feel is appropriate based on the amount and type of service you get, in some cases a buffet server will actually make more trips to/from your table than at a standard table service. Disney's thought on tipping at a buffet seems to be the same as at a regular table service, if you are a party of 6 or more Disney will add a 18% tip to your bill at a table service or buffet.

At a buffet, I tip 10% for OK service, 15% for good. I only tip 20% at sit down restaurants..

And although we appreciate Brian moving it here, the restaurant board now has a rule about tipping discussion. We have one dedicated thread about tipping:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2300858

The first post has an FAQ and an explanation as to why we have a dedicated tipping thread in the first place.

One of those reasons was the fact that almost all threads about personal tipping preferences and habits rapidly got so heated with debate and personal attacks that they had to be closed, so we just don't have them anymore (for some reason, especially the "tipping at a buffet" debate)
