Just got back today!
I thought I spent enough time on these boards (I spend waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much, according to DH!), but apparently I was wrong. DS and I had ADRs at WCC for a late lunch on Saturday. Due to some unforeseen transportation problems, we didn't make it. We ended up at Pleasure Island and I had heard good things about Raglan Road here on the Dis, so we decided to check it out. My first question was whether or not they were on the DDP; they are.
The place was great, food was good (DS wasn't fond, but he shouldn't have ordered mussels). I didn't find out until the bill came, however, that I couldn't put the gratuity on the KTTW card. I left the room with only my room key and my park ticket! Thank goodness my 13 yo DS had his wallet on him so I could bum the $14 for the tip.
I think this situation could have been embarrassing and end up stiffing a perfectly good waitperson. When I asked why I couldn't put it on the card, I was told it is because the restaurant isn't owned by Disney. I can't be the only person this has happened to.
I don't know how to suggest a remedy...except to post to everyone thinking about going to tuck some cash or a credit card in their pocket before heading over there. This won't keep me from going back, but it was a hassle.
