Tip - if you're traveling w/a carseat

I think I read this on this board awhile ago, but I thought I'd share our experience. Hauling a carseat through the airport has always been such a pain so we got a foldable luggage cart to wheel it around. We actually bought ours at the hotel gift shop for $20 (also saw the same one at the airport for the same price). We just bungee corded the seat to the rack and my 4 year old thought it was cool to help out by pulling it. Wish I'd done this sooner, as we've taken several trips with the seat awkwardly looped around our forearm or over our shoulders.

Thanks!

I also wanted to point out that we found an Evenflo brand car seat carrying bag with a long, padded strap (that can go across the chest or over the shoulder). It is around $15, I think - but we found it on clearance at TJMaxx of all places for $7.

I have seen it on ebay as well as at Babies R Us.

Now - to figure out how to bring the other two boosters along! Sheesh.

saw the strap for the car seat the 1st time in MCO on our way home.

Never thought of using a luggage cart! Next thing to buy before our next flight.

Does the luggage cart then count toward your carry-on luggage? I have one that I thought about using with the luggage but I didn't want it to reduce the carry on amounts that I can take on the plane.

If you are up to the limit on carryons, but one of the bags is a rollaboard, it isn't an issue; just bungee the seat directly to the rollaboard bag.

Larger luggage carts are sometimes counted against carryon allowances. The best luggage cart nowadays (unless you have to move something very heavy that just cannot be packed in a rollaboard) is the little Travel Cart. It folds small enough to go inside the bag when it isn't pulling the bag.

Here's one at ebags: http://www.ebags.com/Travelon/Ultra...46&ProductList_20_Link=Details&sub_site_id=20

(I got my Travel Cart at Tuesday Morning for $12, though. I do prefer using a carseat satchel with backpack straps for the airport; now that the kid is older, I can use it to check the carseat. A carseat satchel will hold multiple nested carseats, too.)
