Tip freight delivery?

I have an IKEA order being delivered tomorrow by a 3rd party freight company. I paid IKEA $99 for delivery. Its an easy delivery. Off the truck & straight into my garage. I don't know if its on a pallet or just all individual flat pack boxes.

When I have wood pellets delivered like this into my garage, I don't tip. I've already paid for delivery & its an easy pallet drop.

If they were taking the boxes up to the 3rd floor, I might tip them something, but this is an easy drop into the garage. If it was whole furniture & difficult to get to 3rd floor, I would tip.

Tip or not?

Unlike restaurant servers and valets, delivery workers are compensated for the entire job they do in their wages, rather than relying on the patron of the service to contribute toward that compensation in the form of gratuities. So feel free to tip them or not, as best fits with your own personal preferences. There is no right or wrong answer.

I work for a trucking company that does these types of LTL deliveries.

There is no need to tip the driver. His compensation should already reflect a delivery to a residential address.
