Tip for those who collect alot of autographs

We bring a dollar store address book with us and as we get an autograph we list the characters name under the appropriate letter. When we meet another group of characters it only takes a second to see who we have already gotten. That way we only get the autograph once. We usually end up with 70 - 80 different autographs each trip.

I'm thinking i'm just going to bring a ziplock bag of blank 3X5 cards. Everytime we meet a new character just take out a card, have them sign it, and put it back in the bag.

They may, but I buy my address book at the dollar store and get a new one for each trip. Part of the fun for us is hunting the characters down.

I needed to update the character find spreadsheet I had saved (version 8, current one is version 14). I didn't know where I had found it when I saved it originally. I also printed all the pocket guides.

Disney sells Autograph books for under $7 (if memory serves me). They hold up very well. The kids still look through theirs from 1998 and it is still together.

That still goes for me as well. They hold up real well. My old ones do. I loved the red ones but now they sell smaller ones then that but they are still good. Also have a sharpie from home or a big pen for the characters to hold. What I have learned is that the pens in the parks do not work well.

we did the same thing for DD with colored blank 3 x 5 cardstock. It worked great and then I mounted the autographs with a picture of her and the character in a special scrap book. she loves to look at it.

here are some tips though:
*you can clip several cards together with a binder clip to give a stiff writing surface or at the character meals I just had them loose on the table.
*put your name and info on the ziploc and cary the pens in the bag too.
*bring more than you think you will need.

I found the prettiest cinderella autograph book in the school supplies section of walmart for 3.50 , it has a fur purple cover with cinderella embroidered on it. I also found a mickey one in the dollar store for my son!

i was thinking about about getting the kids each a shirt and a sharpie pen and let all of the characters sign the shirt for them. Has anyone tried this before?
