If you fly with children, please get seat assignments as soon as you are able. Some airlines that will be when you book, some you have to wait until closer to your flight. Check once in a while in case they switch to a larger plane as the computer often reassigns without regard to if it's a child or adult. Get your boarding passes 24 hours before your flight, many flights these days are overbooked. No boarding pass, no guarentees of a seat. You can get them 24 hours in advance at guest services at you resort if you have your reservation #.
I have heard so many people complaining that they aren't seated with their kids when it's their responsibility to be proactive. If I can make sure my seats are right in advance, so can you. If it's that important, take care of it yourself, it will take a lot of stress off your travels. Happy travels ,:hippie:

This happened to us once on a Spirit flight. Fortunately, I checked ahead and realized my kids and I were placed in the exit row! I called customer service and he had a difficult time understanding why two small children are too young to sit in an exit row needed to be reassigned seats. Would have been a big issue at the airport!

I've had this issue in the past...Delta tried to separate me and my 3 year old - there were no 2 seats together. I had to get the gate agent to switch some people around as Delta said they couldn't reassign someone else's seat to accommodate us.

Sometimes you can't do anything until you get to the airport.
