because it's going to be on Disney Channel on Sunday, 8pm.

Why do they do this? Everyone going to go shopping for their kids, and you took out a bunch of people who would have considered getting this DVD. Why DVD if you can DVR for free?

Well I know one reason. Last spring my PVR was sent an update, and the update had a bug in it that erased everything I had taped on it. At first I thought my PVR had a flaw in it, but found out later it was the software update.

Barbie movies sometimes do this too.

We think of it as a sneak preview.
I didn't buy Tumbelina or Christmas Carol (Barbie version)
after seeing them, but we own all of them from Nutcracker to Mariposa.
My DD and I watch them over and over.

We buy Pixar movies for this some logic.

Thanks for the heads up,
I will set the TiVo for Sunday

Thanks for the heads-up. I saw this movie (Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure) at D23 and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the chance to watch it again. I figured the Tinker Bell movies were just more cheap direct-to-DVD movies, so I haven't seen them. Boy was I wrong!

Another Tinkerbell movie is on just before this one, starting at 6:30 PM - it's from 2008 and the title is just "Tinker Bell." I'll give this one a watch too.

By the way, both movies will be shown again on Monday 11/30:
Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure - 10:30 AM
Tinker Bell - 12:00 PM

We DVRed the last Tinker Bell flick, and my kids watched it a few times. After a year, they were no longer interested and I deleted it. (I don't copy things from DVR). Saved money, saved clutter, saved environment in one small way. I'll be doing same with TB#2, though I understand how some people really want the hard copy DVD for their collection (like I did with the Pirates trilogy).

Well, if you're an obsessive Disney collector like I am, you want everything in pristine condition as it was released.

Plus, the Blu-ray will have much better picture and audio than the broadcast version will, and probably some bonus features as well.

I announced to my daughter that we will be getting the latest Tinker Bell movie tomorrow, and she responded with, "Daddy, I saw the first one. I don't need anymore."

Another reason not to buy it.

(but I will DVR it for myself! :thumbsup2)
