How much is the tip o gratuities for a party of 10 (4 adults and 6 kids) we have the Free DDP.

Tips are 18% of the pre-tax total at all table service meals where 6 or more of you dine together. It will be automatically added to your bill, you can pay in cash, credit or charge it back to your room if you have a credit card linked to your room key.

Even if you are on the DDP you can charge just the tip to your credict card. Be sure to tell your server how you want to pay the tip...

examples include:

Give them the room key and tell them you are on the ddp and to please charge your tip to your room.

Give them the room key and your credit card tell them you are on the ddp and to please charge your tip to your credit card.

Give them the room key and tell them you are on the ddp and at the same time give them cash to cover the tip amount indicated on your bill.

You are not likely to be allowed to just use your ddp credits and say "we'll leave the tip on the table." If that was allowed people would try to sneak out without paying any tip. Sad but true.

truthfully I fear many servers will be stiffed during free dining...people who had it last year might still assume it is included....of course, the reservation people should have told them but you never know....

I think it's been made pretty clear by this point in time that no gratuities are included, however I think we all know there will still be people that will play "ignorant" and try to get out of tipping the servers.

Well, I know the tip is no longer included in the cost of the Dining Plan, but get this... !!!

When I called to make my ADR's about 2 weeks ago, the first CM I talked to, said...

"And with parties of 6 or more the TIP IS INCLUDED."

I knew what she meant... an automatic 18% tip would be added to the bill, (included on my bill) for parties of 6 or more, but... the wording she chose to use could be taken the other way.
