I am HOPING to catch a spot on New Years Eve for SM and Wishes in front of the train station on Main St.-right by the back part of the circle-you know where I mean. Is that to far to see Tink? This is the 3rd time we've seen FW and have not seen Tink yet!!:( I want to be at the entrance with the massive crowds then but we want to see TINK!!!!

TIA!

Sarah

Oh another question. It seems like the norm to have 2 SM and 2 fireworks that night with do you think the 2nd showing being that its NYE will be busier. I know it's usually the other way around!

Sarah

no one knows where to see TINK!!!??? I can't believe-you guys know everything! LOL!

Sarah

I would also like to know where to see Tink - we have seen the fireworks a few times but never Tink.

We stand on the walkway from the castle to Tomorrowland (in the front) so maybe we need to be somewhere else???

I am sure other DISers know, so I will await their answer!!

HELP!!!

Are you sure Tink was flying that night? Sometimes she does not due to winds etc.
But you should see her unless you are really far away.
I haven't been in quite a few years but we always saw her and we were not THAT close.

Hello there, I don't think you'll be able to see tink from the train station. If you do, it'll just be a glimpse. I am surprised that Jelee didn't see her fly while standing on the walkway to TL. We stood at the end of MS, by Casey's hot dog stand , and we had a good view of her. If you go during the day, you can clearly see the cable she flies on, so you can make your plans earlier in the day on how you want to play the crowds later that night. Hope this helps!!

It must have been a weather thing, then. I was really looking for her, and never did see anything.

I don't recall it being windy or anything, but up higher, the winds can be different....

Hopefully, I will catch a glimpse of her this time!!!

I just saw Tink about 10 days ago. We were standing in the circle courtyard right below the train station - you know, where the statue of Roy Disney is sitting on the bench at the front of the MK. We had a perfect view to see her fly off towards Tomorrowland.

They turned off the lights down Main Street when the fireworks start but this time they left the lights on where we were. Next time we are going to get further in - it's much better when the street lights are off.

However, the best place to see Tink is on the bridge between the Castle and Tomorrowland. She will actually fly right over your head. I didn't know about Tink and we just happen to be standing there and boy was my Granddaughter surprised to see her so close.

It's just so exciting.

We saw her both on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. She flies shortly after "Wishes" begins. It is a quick flight so be ready with camcorder and camera. We got perfect footage of her flying and we were: By the popcorn stand in front of the castle on Tuesday .........and on the walkway to Tomorrowland on Wed. We actually preferred the view of Tink on Wed. because she flew right overhead and the fireworks were just spectacular from there too.

Good Luck...we missed her 2 1/2 yrs ago due to storms. It is breathtaking to see her.

Have a great trip and good luck finding a "perfect" spot.

IMADSNYLOVR - Just to answer one of your questions, I've never seen a night where they have had two showings of Wishes...Spectro definitely, and the later one is usually less crowded, but I've never seen Wishes scheduled twice a day. Of course I may be wrong, but I would assume that on NYE the midnight show is it, although I'm sure someone more knowledgeable can correct me if i'm wrong

We always get an outside table right next to the railing at the plaza pavilion in tommorrowland. She flys right over head. So close you can see her actually smile at you. As mentioned above, during the day, take a look up and you will see the cable run from the castle to right over the pavilion.

ordinarily, I would say that spotting Tink from the station might be tricky...

*however*

They recently chopped down a bunch of taller trees in central plaza  :( which now means less shade and not such as nice landscaping (imho) BUT it also means greater visibility for things such as Wishes.

Good luck on NYE!

bumping this up, for I think lots of peole are interested in this.. I know I am! :D

I read somewhere that they can only set up Wishes once a day. Not sure if this is true. But there might be more traditional fireworks like the old Fantasy instead.

I have a D8 recording of Wishes with Tink flying down. If anybody interested, let me know. I'll put it on DVD-R

I don't think you should have a problem seeing her. We saw Wishes 3 times last week and I noticed that she now has lights on her costume which makes her much easier to spot from a distance. We were even able to see her from the beach of the Poly. Wished is is such a beautiful show. The best fireworks show I have ever seen. I stood there bawling my eyes out the first time I saw it. It is a sight I will never forget!
