Tinkerbell gifts

I love the idea about different characters!!! I am going to try that! We are so into princess everything here.. thats all I think about ! I think I will change it up a bit too!

I love decorate the bag idea!!! Very neat idea!

How could I adapt this to my 14yodd and 12yods? This is so cute, and they would know it was from us...but it would be cute to surprise them!

I first heard about this idea a few months ago when i was knee deep in planning. I have purchased all my items and have them in a separate suitcase with Easter and b-day stuff. My DS is turning 5 when we are there!!!:) :cool1: I wasn't sure how i was going to present them but I love the idea of decorating Tinks bag!!! I will definitly do that! I purchased things from Disney Store, WalMart and $1 Store. I got items that I thought would help pass the time waiting in line!! I got magnadoodles, a Disney watch (3.99 at Dis Store!), those water toys that you push a button to get the rings on hooks, small handheld games (Battleship, yahtzee, connect four, etc.), a large beach towel and some candy. I can't wait to see his face---he absolutley loves tinkerbell. Everytime we see a lite from the sun reflecting he thinks its Tinkerbell. He is also very excited to see a real princess and says they are beautiful and he will give them a kiss!! How precious is that! I thought he would only be into boy stuff but he really want to see a real princess! We leave in 3 days and i am soooo excited! Thanks for the great ideas everyone! I think this will be my best tripever thanks to this site! :cool1:

This was something that made the time very cool when I was there for our first family trip. I had my 4 and 6yos with me. Most of my stuff was t-shirts, plush toys picked up at the Disney Store prior to arrival. First night on our way to dinner at ESPN Zone I "Forgot" the voucher for dinner, ran back up and set out our Mickey shirts (matching set for the family) and a card welcoming us to the resort from Mickey. The kids had to thank Mickey the next day at the park for the shirts. Next time we were getting dressed, kids eating and brushing teeth, I pounded on the wall and said, "someone is at the door". I already had shirts "from Tigger"(Family set of Tigger shirts) in my hand and said to the kids that someone just dropped them off at the hotel from Tigger. Of course, again, they needed to thank Tigger. This time they had us write a note to Tigger of thanks. Another priceless one was the "Guest of Honor" badges. I bought them online with their names already engraved. I had my wife distract the kids, looking at the castle, while I found a CM that would welcome them to the park and say they were their "guest". The kids were amazed that they even knew their names, the look was amazing. (Added bonus all the ride operators would call my boys by their names on their badges and visit, very cool) Very fun stuff!! Hard to keep it coming on future trips, but looking forward to trying.

I have used a special bag that DD’s find every morning by the door. The bag will have one candy, sometimes clothes, a toy (small for them to take with them in the park) stickers/tattoos, etc.

Basically I buy things at the dollar stores, or on sale and stuff them in a plastic bin for future use as goodies or on our trips to DL.

I have bought drink cups, glow necklaces, hairbrushes, PJ’s, crayons, anything Disney.

They love it and so do I.

Good luck and have a wonderful time.

Your DS sounds like a little sweetie!

We are making our 1st trip as parents with our 2.5 y.o. dd in May :cloud9: I've been collecting little Disney items for the past couple of months...mostly pooh and princess stuff. I got her a small princess backpack that she has not seen yet, but that may have to be for the plane ride to keep her occupied. I hadn't thought about little gift bags to put the items in....I'll have to do that this week. I LOVE these boards. So many great people with great ideas!

Hi,

I have a different twist on this....I was worried that it would be hard to pull my DS 3yo away from the parks to nap....SOOO Tink visits only while DS 3yo is napping....And only when he is in WDW......Helps a lot...

I got a cute cosmetic bag with Tink on it at Kmart and printed some Tink designs from Creative DISigns forum with notes from Tink...I got little gifts that fit into the cosmetic bag...I even read somewhere that a Grandma was collecting little toys from Happy Meals..

NO problems with naps when we went in Feb!!! :Pinkbounc

Tinker bell was very busy when DD (5) first went. She actually prefers Tinker Bell to Santa now. Disney Deals was going so I stocked up on tshirts for her and little trinkets. A cinderella keychain that played a dream is a wish your heart makes. Then I went to Meijer and got little princess sets that were a doll and clothes like polly pocket in their own little cases. And she picked up a few things in the park that DD had seen and been excited over.

I mainly did this to cut down on the I wants and expensive park souviners. It worked like a charm!

We are going for the first time in August. I got them bags and put in towels, bathing suits, mini fans, glow neckalces, hats, sunglasses, t-shirts, pjs, ( all disney themed) lanyards and pins and of course disney dollars. I also got them some small games and coloring supplies from the dollar spot at Target.

I did the Tinkerbell gifts for DD's first trip last year and will be doing it again this summer. I got several things from the Dollar Store (Disney stickers, hair bows, comb/brush set, etc.) but also left some gifts for purchase while at WDW...all related to what we did that day. For example, one day she was lucky enough to wake Tinkerbell, so I purchased a Tink musical jewelry box. Another day she braved Splash Mountain so she received a little Splash Mountain car.) This year we will be riding Figment for the first time, so I'm going to get her a little Figment plush for her "magical bag." Little things like that make the trip so extra special. pixiedust:

BTW, Walmart has a bunch of Princess toys...sidewalk chalk and holders, jump ropes, balls, etc...mostly for just $1.

I never heard of Gifts from Tinkerbell!!! When we went in October, it was halloween and MNSSHP. So I did a big Halloween themed basket and I left DS a note saying it was from Mickey!!!! He ABSOLUTELY loved it. I did it the night we were going to MNSSHP. I left it out and when he woke up it was there waiting for him. DD was only 4 1/2 months, so didn't do it for her :confused3 . But when we go in December, she will be a year and a half old. Is that too young to start??? I think I like the idea of leaving something small each day and saying it's from Tinkerbell...very cute!!!!

I think she will be just fine at 1 1/2... I don't think age matters... just to enjoy and share the magic is tons of fun!!!!!!!!!

Thanks so much!!!! I'll have fun doing it in December! :cheer2:

I am going to try to find small snacks and everything and write little notes from different characters.. I know my little girl is wanting to see Nemo so bad at Epcot.. so I found some gummy nemo candy at Wallgreens I am going to leave her the morning we go to Epcot!

Any other neat ideas?

For her Easter Basket we are putting disney dollars in the eggs and we have a few Disney pins we bought from someone that we are putting in a few of the eggs! We are so excited!

I have to share my "tinkerbelle" story.

With advice from this board, I bought some pins online ebay, and save those for tinkerbelle gifts, as well as getting some great bargains at the DisneyStore (sometimes just Disney Dollars does it!!)

I ordered a snack package from wdwflorist.com and had them add a "tinkerbelle mylar balloon"... well... sometime around 3AM DD sat up screaming..."TINKERBELLE< I SEE HER!!" needless to say that got our hearts racing, we told dd "that's nice go back to sleep" which she did... I figured out a few minutes later the balloon moved when the a/c kicked on, just as she was rolling over - the light from the mirror or something all caught the tinkerbelle balloon - dd is 9 btw!!

Needless to say when we went to visit Wendy at Cinderella's castle dd couldnt stop talking about her visit from Tinkerbelle - AT THREE AM!! lol

wonderful memory!!

I am learning so much about how to make this trip memorable. By boys will be 4 and 17 when we go. But the older one will play along (because he knows if he doesn't he gets NOTHING) Making a list now. I have to find the Guest of Honor button. Guess I better check the Disney store from here on out. My DH is going to think I lost my mind. :wizard:

I left gifts last year from the "fairy godmother". I wrote notes ont he computer before we left and printed them out to go with each gift. I t was as if Fairy godmother was watching--each note also reminded my DD to be good and behave etc...It worked like a charm!!!!

I would a minnie purse, paddle ball, disney trading pins, stationary and I tried to co-ordinate the gifts to what we were doing that day so it could be used--like the paddle ball for a non-park day so she had something new to play with....

Just thought I'd share about the order I got mine from disney florist.com

gormet basket section - -

http://www.disneyflorist.com/ffo_in..._id=fol_gourmet&price_range=&sidenav=products

but since dd didnt eat everything in her lunch bag assortment, I know feralpeg here at the Dis does customize gift boxes - peggysweetsandmore.com (http://www.peggyssweetsandmore.com/) you email her and tell her what to include (like we'll always have to have that mylar balloon!!) and she'll work beyond your expectations!!
