ok guys. here goes day 1:
Day 1: Sept. 24
we got up early to get ready for our trip. our flight was at 10:15 am. we were flying with Song out of JFK. we made it to JFK with no trouble at all. we got to our gate with no problem. we grabbed some breakfast, some magazines and waited at our gate. time went by and we heard announcements but they were for someone to check in at their gate. time continued to pass when i looked at my watch and it read 10 AM! boarding was at 9:45. i told rob it was 10 and we ran to the door. no one was waiting to board. we almost missed our flight!!!! Song never made any announcements about boarding whatsoever. we were very upset but very happy at the same time that we didn't miss our flight.
during the flight, i listened to music while rob watched "Madagascar." we arrived at Orlando with no trouble. we found our shuttle guy, John from Franco Transportation, and off we went to the Swan.
we got to the swan around 1:30 or so. we went to the front desk to check in. as we checked in, i made a mention that it was our anniversary. the guy upgraded us to a room with a balcony on the 5th floor. when we got to our room, the room was beautiful. we got a king sized bed and had a great view. our view was of the dolphin, the walkway to the water taxi, a lake, and the rest of the swan. we unpacked and took a nap afterwords.
we got up around 6 and got ready to go to DTD. we had dinner at the House of Blues. it was a lot of fun. we had this yummy pizza with chicken on it and we had this soup, i can't remember what kind, that was worth having. i had told rob when we were waiting to board our plane that we were going to see La Nouba that night.
after dinner, we went to see La Nouba. our seats were incredible! that theater is surprisingly small. i always thought it was bigger. the show is 90 minutes long and so full of colorful characters, tricks and much much more. the best part were these four little girls with some wire and sticks and this dumbbell looking thing and they were tosing them in the air, doing back flips and so many other tricks with these things. it was incredible. they looked to be at least 5 years old! La Nouba is definitelly worth seeing. it's definitely worth the money.
after the show,we went back to our hotel and called it a night.
