The Electrical Parade marks its return engagement at Disney’s California Adventure on Friday night
[June 12] with Tinker Bell taking over the lead float position from the Blue Fairy.

The new Tink float features a magic wand-wielding face-character waving from the basket of a hot-air
balloon amid a sea of shimmering emerald green lights.

The Electrical Parade reboot also includes a return of the mothballed Snow White and Pinocchio floats,
upgraded audio of the classic theme song and a sprinkling of “pixie dust” lighting on all the old floats.

Disney has wrapped a series of nighttime shows into a new Summer Nightastic promotion that includes the
Electrical Parade, a new Magical fireworks show featuring a flying Dumbo and an upgraded Fantasmic
featuring Flotsam and Jetsam eels (and eventually a 40-foot-tall Maleficent dragon).

When or at all in October is the electrical parade? We are planning on going from October 18-24... We will have a chance to see it then or should we book later in October closer to Halloween to be able to see it? How long is the parade normally?

I like it...except for the costumes that they have on the other fairies. I think Disney could do better than that.

Looks amazing. I think Tink will be a great replacement.

I'd like to know the schedule for it after the Summer Nightastic! dates finish too though. I'm going to be there September 16-20 and don't want to miss it!!

Ruthie, traditionally, the DEP is not shown at all during October. It goes dark after Labor Day and doesn't return until Christmas peak.

While I think it's a gorgeous new float, I still would prefer that they keep the Blue Fairy float in front, and then have Tink follow. It's TRADITION, the Blue Fairy always starts the Disneyland parades. Guess I'm just sucker for tradition. . .

Does the electrical parade still have the same song? I heard that was getting replaced too.

That Tink float looks so gorgeous. I can not wait to go and see it.

it sounds more digitally redesigned.
Lots of changes. The Patriot float has a very upgraded fireworks light which actually looks pretty realistic.

All floats have this yellow lighting flow on them now as well. looks sweeet.

I totally agree!

I'm going to go see it tonight. :flower:

Count me in on that too! I just hate to see classics changed, even though they may be upgrading, I just love tradition at Disneyland. :thumbsup2 Although that certainly does not mean that I will be skipping the parade for any reason. I am glad to see that the reintroduced the Snow White and Pinocchio floats.

i would however like to see a Tokyo version of the electrical parade over at DCA... but i guess Disneyland would like to keep it to their classical disney character leaving all the Pixar characters to Pixar Play Parade.
