Our final day was upon us so we were up and out early as we wanted to make the most of it. We had reservations for the Carol Concert so we decided to spend our entire last day there. In previous years when booking the Carol Concert we have been able to get decent time for dinner, but this it near impossible this time and we ended up with dinner at 13.50, which even by my standards was a tad early, still we went to Le Cellier and thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

After wandering around the world and just browsing, it was nice to sit for the concert. This is my 5th time of seeing the carol concert and it was absolutely fantastic, BUT, they could do with singing some new songs as they appear to be the same, year in, year out.

After the Carol Concert we found a brilliant spot to watch the fireworks, by the lake, behind the shop at the entrance to the world showcase, next to the reserved seating area for Carol Concert attendees. Now, although we could have gone in this area, the other spot was perfect and with no wind blowing, we saw the most amazing fireworks, at the end of the normal show. The Peace on Earth song at the end of the fireworks just sent tingles down my spine and I’m sure that at the end of the show, my chest vibrated with the noise of the fireworks.

It didn’t take us long to get back to the hotel where we started our packing and started receiving texts from relatives about the snow chaos in the UK eek!

sounds like a great last day
