we are doing a cruise on the 16 may and just wondering if anybody knows the timings that the buses leave the resort.

this will determine which resort we will stay at to get the better timings

tks much

The pick-up times vary by resort, anywhere between 11:30 and 12:45, if I remember. There is only one pick-up time at each resort. Feel free to give DCL a call and they can provide you all the times for the resorts you are thinking about. Also keep in mind the pick-ups are only done at some of the resorts.

Each bus will go to about 3 resorts before leaving for the port. The variation in pick up times is basically the issue of whether you are the first or third resort that your bus will stop at. As above, each resort will have only one bus pick up. The bus will get you to the port about 1:30.

I really don't see how there is such a thing as "better timings." If you want to run on your own time system, you'll need a towncar/limo service or a rental car.

just i heard that some pickup at 11:30 and some later. just dont want to miss it.

so it should not matter if we pick one or the other then

You will get an information sheet in your room the night before you leave telling you what time to have your luggage ready to go, how to notify bell services that it is ready (sometimes they're had us just leave it in the hall, other times have it ready in the room and phone bell services, still other times just "have it ready by" and the bell man knocked on our door 10 minutes later), and what time to check in with the cruise line CM (usually an hour before the bus!)

The CM checks you off on her list...you are then free to roam around the area until a few minutes before the bus is due. She then corrals everyone and again checks off names as you board the bus. Your luggage has already gone on ahead, so you'll just have your carry ons.

What about those of us who are driving ourselves from the resort to the port. What time do we need to be at the port at?

The port opens at 10. The terminal is supposed to open at 10:30, but it is usually a little before that. Boarding the ship starts about 12:00 +/- 15 minutes. All Aboard is 4 pm. You can decide when you wish to arrive....

Hints--if you're an early bird, that's great. If not, arrive about 12:30 - 1pm. You will check in and walk right onto the ship. DO NOT arrive at 1:30. You'll get into all the people from the DCL buses and have a long wait again!

We are staying at the POFQ the nite before the cruise, we are not doing a land and sea package, How does it work for us? I am guessing we need to let them know at checkin or do we need to take care of the way before that? Want to make sure we are included. We are getting the DCL Transfers to port from the hotel, So is that how they would know?

There will be a "cruise desk" at your hotel, but it has limited hours. Tell the CM when you check in that you will be taking the cruise bus to the port--you have tickets but you want to be sure you're on their list. She'll probably tell you to check in at the cruise desk, but she'll also put you on the list to get the info sheet. If you happen to be in the lobby when the cruise desk is open, say hello to the CM and give her your room number.....then it's all done.
