So we are staying at WL for the very first time next month. We are so excited! I read a while back that the best experience is taking the boat back to WL and timing it so that you can see Wishes at MK from the boat. Has anyone done this before? Also, how do I do the timing. It sounds great so that you avoid the crowds and get back to the hotel earlier.

Any info would be great.

Thanks!

We saw Wishes from the boat last month, but we were going from WL to the MK. We didn't plan it; it just happened.

As we got on the boat the captain said we would have a nice view of Wishes on our ride back to the MK and it was. We had a clear view, but the boat canopy may have made it harder for some people to see. Wishes lasted longer than the ride so we saw the end of it after we got off the boat.

One other thing to keep in mind for your ride is you'll be going away from the MK so you'll have to turn around in your seats (you can't stand up) to see the fireworks. You could also watch from the end of Main Street or from just outside of the MK near the boat dock and you'll be among the first to leave the park/get on the boat after the end of Wishes.

It is nice. I don't think it's something you can really plan. When Wishes is starting, you can go to the boat dock and wait for a boat. If may arrive in time for you to see part while on the water. I've also seen the water parade on the resorts boats. It's pretty cool. Again, it's due to luck as the boats don't really have a time schedule.
