Good Morning Disney Cruise experts!

Today was our 75 day booking start date for new cruisers which was exciting. I had not planned on doing any BBB but realized there was a pirate makeup option (we already have a dress I bought from Halloween clearance) and the options were of course limited for times. I'll keep checking back but I reserved a 6:45pm-7:15pm for now just in case it could work for my 6 year old daughter.

Would we have enough time to sit down at 5:45pm main dinner, go to BBB, and then wander up to the pirate show festivities (I saw that the show starts ~7:45pm) Or will I just be so rushed that putting makeup on her in our room before dinner would be the more zen option for all of us? We tend to be quick eaters naturally.

We have a spring break time cruise and almost everything was sold out. Managed one frozen meet and one Remy dessert (bc brunches were all gone.) So just wanted one more "special thing."

We've been on 5 cruises, have always had early dinner. We usually aren't done until 7 or later. Even if you are a fast eater, there will be times that you are just sitting at the table waiting for the servers to get your next course. On our last 2 cruises, pirate night activities started at 7:30 and we had to rush from the dining room to see them. We are a family of 3, if you have a larger group it can sometimes take even more time to get served. If you want to do BBB, I would keep checking to see if a time before dinner comes available, you can also check once you get on board to see if there's a better time. Otherwise, I would do make-up in the cabin. If you do decide to keep the appointment, tell your servers about it so they can try to get your meal done a little quicker, you may have to skip dessert to make it though.

Yes, yes, yes. Even if you tell your server you prefer a quicker service or even skip appetizer and dessert course, it will be at least 7 o’clock (probably closer to 7:30) before you can get out of there. We tried that on our last cruise.

You might want to order room service or eat from food stations on the pool deck to make sure you can fit everything in without stressing out.

Thank y'all for the reality check. I think my plan is to keep checking on earlier pre-dinner appts. And if nothing comes up to just skip it and have a fun, relaxing dinner prior to the pirate show. No reason to rush the magic :)

Ok, I cancelled the pirate makeup for day 3 and instead changed to crown package on day 2 at 2:30pm. Figure we will get dressed up that night for dinner and for sure would be back on the boat (not going to do much in Nassau except maybe check out the town or shops for a tiny bit in the morning.)

I feel better now :)

That sounds like it will be less stressful. Not sure if you know it or not, but you can bring any princess dress from home that she has, you don't have to buy them from BBB. My dd has outgrown the princess stage(she's 10), I always get a little teary eyed when I see all the cute little girls in their princess dresses.

Yes, I bought some from an online dress-up store after Halloween which makes it a lot more affordable. Mine definitely is starting to move from princess to "cool girl" stuff but still likes to be pampered :)

Okay, let’s be honest here. If Disney sold those princess dresses in grown up sizes, people would buy them. I mean, who doesn’t like to be pampered?
