Timing at Animal Kingdom

If we go to Animal Kingdom a day near the end of April when it opens at 8....will my family of 4 have time to ride Dinosaur, then make an 8:30am ADR at Tusker House? If not, what time do you recommend making the ADR for?

It'll be close. It's quite a trek from one to the other. I'd make the ADR for 9 to help take the pressure off. If you get there early, just sign in and hope they can take you a bit earlier.
