Timing and Booking Question - HELP!!

My DH recently put an offer on a DVC at Animal Kingom that we need to sign the paperwork for and go through the ROFR process on. Our DVC has a Sep UY with 135 banked points from 2007. We currently have a trip booked for Dec 1-8, 2008...by the time we get approved (crossing our fingers that we do!), we'll most likely be 5 months out. What are the odds we will be able to make accomodations for 5 people at that time, at ANY DVC resort? We're thinking a 2BR, a 1BR + studio, or 2 studios...

Should I be worried??

You will likely have to waitlist. It really depends on what size accommodations you need and how flexible you are. That is the most popular time for DVC reservations, so the best you can do is wait and hope. You will have the most success with a 1 bedroom. Studios and 2 bedrooms seem to go fastest.

Thanks for the info...my parents have DVC points for Wilderness and are traveling with us, but we were hoping to not use their points for this trip because we're taking a big family trip next September, plus then we would lose the banked points from 2007 in our DVC resale purchase.

We're very flexible in accomodations with regards to resorts and rooms, as long as we have enough space for 5 people!
