Timeshare

We own a timeshare, there are several places we can trade out for. Can any one recommend a good one? Looks like the HGVC at Sea World or Internation Drive are nice. Are they?? Any help, my ears are open. Thanks

We own at HGVC Sea World, and have stayed at the one on International Drive as well. We love them both, but I'm partial to the I-drive one because I like the Italian village theming, and the fact you can walk across the street to Publix.

If you stay at the Sea World one, they have a "behind the scenes" tour thing for kids where they feed them lunch, make a craft and take a van over to Sea World and get to go behind the scenes of places like the dolphin nursery, sting ray exhibit, etc. It's been a few years ago since my 2 did it (like 3 or 4 years maybe) but it was $25 per kid and lasted about 5 hours.

yea, the HGVC are very nice. love the whirlpool tub - the water coming in looks like a water fall - very, very cute.

I like the one at SW. but also happen to love SW!!! It is across the street from Seaworld and on the other side of Discovery Cove

It would be well worth your while to join the Timeshare Users Group at www.tug2.net . Not only do they have great information on all topics relating to timeshares, they have extensive reviews of most resorts. I always go there when I'm choosing a resort.

The SeaWorld HGVC is quite nice so I suspect that the newer I-Drive HGVC is very nice, too. Others that might be worth considering if they come up in your RCI searching are Vistana Villages, Cypress Pointe, Vistana Resorts and Orange Lake Country Club - all very good RCI resorts (though the Vistanas are also trading through Interval International so the inventory may be limited).

cypress pointe also goes with II also these days.

if you exchanging through II - then DVC or Marriott are the best. then Sheraton and CP.

that say there are a couple of Marriott in RCI -

the Cypress Harbour is well worth looking for on RCI.

Wynham Bonnet Creek Resort #6369

this resort is new - and is inbetween Disney property - even has a free shuttle to WDW.

Unfortunately, Wyndham controlls all owner deposits to RCI (much like DVC does in II), and by all accounts, they have not deposited Bonnet Creek in quite some time.

I would not hold my breath waiting for an exchange into BC. The best way to get a stay there is to rent out your unit, and use the cash to rent a unit from a Wyndham owner.

One of our favorites is the westgate town center. soo nice and clean. leather furniture -huge tv- the second bedroom has two queen beds. WE have stayed here and the 2nd BR is fit for a family of four...about as big as a room at the disney deluxe resorts.
