Timeshare store purchase?

Has anyone purchsed a resale from the timeshare store
We want to do an add on and our home resort BWV is sold out!!! Just back from our first trip as members, a week in BWV and want to add on already. There are some from OKW available. How does the motrgage work through them? Was there a problem with financing?The exchange rate is not an issue as I work in the states. We financed the first one through Disney. Need answers quick is either a resale or new one through Disney. My guide Linda is calling me Monday.

Hi Nadine. Would the people on the Disney Vacation Club board be able to help you out? Or is the problem that you're trying to view this from a Canadian perspective? I hope someone else can help you out.

Best to email them and confirm this info, but i believe that the Timeshare does not do financing for Canadians. My sister bought throught them for the Vistana, the total cost plus closing costs were paid all at once. I'm not sure about DVC properties. but I think it's the same. We own at Boardwalk and you can ask to be put on a list for any extra points. They are getting hard to get. Hope this helps

We purchased an OKW resale (180 points) from A Timeshare Broker about a year ago. We had to secure our own financing, but we already had an existing line of credit which we used. In fact, the interest rate on our unsecured line of credit was as good as the discount rate that Disney was offering direct purchasers. Closing costs were, IIRC, US$425.

From the time of our first phone call to closing was less than a month (27 days). It was relatively painless (other than the exchange rate differential ) and when we purchase our next batch of points I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
