Has anyone ever gotten a great per night rate at a time share property. I have heard if you stay at one of the resorts and agree to listen to their sales pitch you can get a great rate. If anyone has any info on this I would love to hear it. princess:

Yes, you can get a "nightly rental rate" and a "timeshare tour rate" . You can try searching in google for the website of the resort you want to stay at or you can just try some of the popular hotel consolidators web sites. You can also try calling the resort and ask them about nightly rentals. Don't forget to ask about disconts such as AAA or RCI.

You may want to check a weekly rental..even if you dont stay all week (and I dont know how long you are looking for) it could still be a better deal and no tour required. Check ebay and check www.tug2.net on classifieds and if its a last minute thing check the bulletin board for last minute rentals

Do you have any names of nice timeshares. I don't even have that to start with. Thanks for the help.

There are quite a few nice ones...if you want to know about any you come across usually someone here can help out. Some we have stayed at and enjoyed are:
Silver Lake
Summer Bay
Hilton
Cypress Pointe (both)
Embassy at Grand Beach
Vistana (as long as its not the older sections)
Fairfield Cypress Palms

There are other nice ones too

Hi there,

try discounthotels.cc they do timeshare presentations for cypress pointe, westgate, vistanna resorts and loads of others, we got a week for the july 4th week at a great price, and to be honest sitting thru a 90 min presentation will be like water of a ducks back to us, were in orlando for 14 nights and miami for a few more so we dont mind :cool1:

Try the DVC rent/trade board right here at disboards.com, plenty of things available and it's ON-SITE!!!! ::MickeyMo

Our timeshare is at Star Island, off 192. We love it there, very nice.

Fairfield has some pretty good Orlando deals; however, unless you're going non-peak you will get a hotel room. That's been the case for all of the cheap getaways we've done that were linked to a timeshare presentation. If you go through Fairfield, you will tour at Bonnet Creek. I've heard it's a nice resort.

The marriott timeshares are spectacular. The sales pitch isn't too bad and I think well worth getting a great property for 90 minutes of your time. They still aren't cheap though as they are mostly 5 star resorts. Call Marriott grande Vista directly and they will hook you up. Friends stayed at embassy suites and they had a very good deal if you would go to their presentation. Call the office directly and they will send to the right person also, If you have friends who own timeshare they can call and put you on their referrals list and you will get offers in the mail and via phone if you want. Good Luck
