Timeshare Other Than Dvc

We love our DVC and think that we save a lot of money with it. We would like to buy a second timeshare. We are looking for something with the point system. We are looking for more average hotels throught the country. Does anyone else have a timeshare other than DVC that the like.

I think if you go over to the DVC boards you will find many that have other timeshare along with their DVC. Some of them are very knowledgeable in all the different ones and what they offer.

Basically if you look at the three major hotel chains, Marriott, Hilton and Starwood, you will find they all have point-type vacation clubs similar to DVC. Also they tend to be very low pressure.

We own thru BlueGreen. Always been very low pressure for us, resorts all over the place(you can Google the company and look thru their site). We've never stayed in a bad condo.
A few years ago, we went to a Mariott presentation just to get some Disney tickets and they treated us horribly. The guy showing us around was like a used car salesman and when we told him later we weren't interested in buying, he got very intimidating and went to get his"manager". When we finally convinced the guy we weren't buying, he stood up from the table, slammed his hand down(scared the crap outta me) and told us to sign the exit form. I knew we shouldn't have done this, but DH insisted. We had driven all night AND I had been sick for two days. I know not every salesperson is this way, but it was a horrible experience(and it happened in Orlando).

If you find a place you like try to buy resale, there are a lot of sites to check the resale market, you can save a lot of money
