Timeshare anyone???

Sue,

Thanks for the reply! :D I remember seeing several regular (as opposed to RSG) Orlando auctions for the weeks around Easter, but you really take your chances because the bidding on some of those can really get up there. And the waiting game is horrible! I thought we could make some cancelable reservations somewhere and try either Skyauction or Priceline, since one or the other should work out...but if not, after a week at Orange Lake we'll be so spoiled it'll be hard to go to a Clarion :p .

Can't wait for Orange Lake!! :bounce:

C88fly?
Maybe we can help find something on Skyauction.

I need something starting June 20th for 10 days. I saw where most of the RSG are for only 7 days, so we would probably get a hotel for 3 nights & then on to whatever I might be able to get. So that would be June 23rd checking in.

What about you?

Lori

We are planning on leaving 10/24(waiting for that darn school schedule), and returning on 11/2. I will also have to get a hotel for a couple of days(unless I can finagel(sp) a 3 day cruise at the end of this trip).
We stayed at Florida vacation Villas last year, and they were fine(but we did parks every day- all day and did not spend alot of time at the condo). I wanted to get something 'nicer'(like Orange lake) this year, but it was not available for my time frame when I bid. I got Orbit One. I have read that we can use the water park at Liki Tiki with that place- I am hoping that is true because we were planning on more 'down' days this trip.
I go on Skyauction quite a bit, and will give you a shout if I see anything on there for your time period.
Good luck!

Please do let me know if youe see something for those dates. I am still a "newbie" to skyauction.

Also, I've read some really great things about Liki Tiki, but it seems to able to even get a half way decent rate there, you have to do the timeshare thingy. After all of these posts, I believe we will be staying away from the presenatations.

Thanks for all of your help & good luck with you also!

Lori

I used the tug2.net website to get my condo. I placed a classified ad and said I wanted to rent a 2bdrm condo at $400 for 7 nights. I received several offers and I got a 2 bdrm. at Marriott Grande Vista for 7 nights at $400 total. I do not have to attend any timeshare presentation. I rented from the owner. I am going June 14th-21st. I can't wait. I understand it is suppose to be really nice. My only advice is to check out the person carefully before doing business. There is also an area of classifieds where people are wanting to rent their condos. There are some pretty good deals on there as well.

I am going there right now!

thanks,
Lori
