I went to Times Square on my lunch hour to see the opening. It was crazy! Not a madhouse, because Disney had it well organized, but the line to get into the store was around the block and I couldn't even see the end of the line from the corner!

They were handing out Disney Store Mickey ears on every corner, but there was no NYC or New York designation on the ears.

Hopefully, someone who had more time and actually got in can tell us more.

I've been looking for a video of the parade but haven't found any yet. I missed GMA this morning. :guilty:

All I saw on GMA was an interview with Bob Iger. They didn't go in the store. We had to leave around 12:00 because DS had to be to work at NJ Disney Store at 2:00. We may go over on Sunday.

When we got there Mickey, Minnie, Buzz, Phineas and Ferb, and the princesses including Rapunzel were out. Bob Iger was doing media interviews.

I'm planning on visiting this Saturday but not sure it's a good idea with the way the crowds have been this week. Has anyone else been there yet? What is the best time to go? I'd rather not wait outside around the block with two small kids in cold weather if I can help it. I may have to wait until spring to go, but it's going to be beautiful on Saturday so I thought we might give it a try. Any advice?
