I am an Obama fan, but I seriously doubt he will get it. Did he get it last year? Can't remember and I'm running out the door so I can't Google it. Or was it Capt Sully?

My prediction is that a bunch of people are going to complain about how Time chose to "honor" someone who they feel is a bad person. (In other words, they'll ignore the fact that the Person of the Year is the person who, for good or ill, affected the world's events the most.)

Makes a lot of sense, and surely he qualifies as having the most impact on the world of practically anyone on that list. A lot of people who were considered were sentimental favorites, but generally didn't affect world events as much.

And he gave a BILLION dollars to Newark NJ for education. He is my hero for doing that!

OK, but I'm so bored with these self-aggrandizing institutions telling me who I'm supposed to care about, how many awards ceremonies does the world really need? I couldn't possibly be more apathetic towards The Oscars, The Person of the year, The sexiest man, The sexiest woman, who Joan Rivers things looks good, The Nobel Peach prize, The number 1 TV show, Miss America, Miss Universe on & on and on they go.... the list never ends.

I don't know why I've just never liked any of this sort of thing and I just don't get why other people do... seriously, what is the draw?

I enjoy the OScars and the Emmy's mostly for the spectacle and at the very least with that award show, the winner's are voted on by the industry.

The Nobel PEACE Prize (hehee...take another look at your post) is supposed to be awarded to someone for their work.

Some of the other stuff I have no interest in.
