Hi All - I am just starting my planning (called this morning, waiting for a consultant/coordinator to call me back)...

I had a question about timing. We are doing a wishes wedding (40 - 50 ppl) on a Monday in October.
Ideally I would like to have it play out like this:

Ceremony SBP
Reception LSS
Dessert Party (France?)

My question is, do I do the 2:30 ceremony slot, or the 5pm? I dont want a lot of downtime in between events, and we will be doing most of our pictures BEFORE our ceremony. But I wonder if 5pm is smushing too much into a short time frame.

Thoughts?

I am having a ceremony at SBP, reception at the Attic and Dessert Party in the UK and I am getting married at 2:30. Everything is flowing together and there will be no gaps. I think that if you did the 5pm time slot you may be squishing to much in with no time to enjoy anything.

Thanks Toni. Are you doing a pre-reception?

Would the timeline be something like this then?
Ceremony 2:30 - 3:30
Reception 4:00 - 8:00 ??
DP 8:30 - 9:30 ??

Yes. I am doing the pre-reception. That was the timeline that they gave me but I decided to make my DP longer and now I am starting it at 8pm. That may be another option for you. I am only having the food out for an hour, so its the same price but it will be from 8-9:30 now instead of 8:30 to 9:30.

Oh! I like that idea of extending the DP. That may work for me then. I was trying to avoid the "pre-reception" to keep costs down, but may have to talk about that with the planner.

Found your journal BTW - so many good ideas and great pics in ther!
