Timeline For Grand Floridian Construction?

Anyone know when construction at the GF will be finished? I'm going in November and want to know if it will be completed.

don't know - over on DVC board it was being discussed.

it was suppose to be done this Dec - now it is very doubt full that it will open this year.

although the way they are raising the price of BLT - it can't be that long.

Construction can be a fluctuating with this economy. In this day to tell you that the construction of an entire building will completed on a certain day is unrealistic. Being an architect and a construction manager, there is no way of telling.

My suggestion is either to not worry about it or reschedule it.

heard it was because the monorail was more problems than originally scheduled.

All the construction and closures are now finished, except the new DVC building. It is coming along nicely, but it will be quite a while before it is complete. (See above omment from experienced architect.)

But the Courtyard Pool is now re-opened. Gasparillo's Grill and Sandy Cove gift shop was complete. Even though ther DVC building is not complete, it is not that unsightly. They have completed the basic structure and roof.
