Timeframe for ROFR?

If you have a contract on a resale that has a closing date farther out than average, when does it get sent to DVC for ROFR?

I'm just trying to figure out whether I'll have to wait months to find out whether this contract will pass ROFR or if that is done immediately and then we just wait for the closing date.

we were/are in this situation too.
We used (are using) the TSS and won't close until end of Nov, but when we made an offer and it was accepted by the seller, we then sent in our deposit right away, and within days it went into the ROFR process. Disney has 30 days starting from your date of submission to the ROFR, i believe, to decide and then it either passes or not within those 30 days regardless of your closing date. Ours passed and we are now waiting until end of Nov to close...hope that helps

If you purchased from The Timeshare Store, Inc.®, the day we have a signed contract from both buyer and seller, we will submit the agreement to Disney for their ROFR decision. We usually hear back from Disney in 21 - 28 days.

We bought our first contract through the TSS and it took about 4 weeks to get through ROFR. Once that was done, they send the closing paperwork to you and the seller. We each sent it in within a few days and closed almost a month earlier than the closing date listed on the contract. I think that is more the norm than the exception.
