Time to return to park @ night?

We will certainly be implementing the wonderful tip of taking an afternoon rest break from the park for a nap/swim and returning later. It's the WOC opening week and going to be a zoo We have a 5 and 6 year old, and it's OK if they're up a little late if I can get them to nap, but not until midnight or anything like that, especially if we want them to get up for MM.

I was just wondering when others with younger kids tend to leave the park and come back when they take their mid-day break?

We always do. Even now with them all grown up. It is good for everyone to have a little rest, cool off and go go forth again.

We leave the parks around 1-2 pm and return around 5 or 6 pm.

When I take breaks, they generally end up being somewhere around 4-7PM or so if the park is going to be open until Midnight. If it's closing earlier, adjust that accordingly.

We would have lunch, do something that everyone had been wanting to do and then head back for our break. After a couple of hours we would head back to the park. If the little ones are really sleeping we would just wait and stay up a bit later.

It is a must for us. We usually leave after the first parade and come back either before or after the evening one. Since we never do MM, we only leave when the park closes. DD loves to ride Buzz lots of times in a row and that's the perfect time.

We usually leave around 1 or 2, depending on how hot it gets. We go back for table service dinner around 5:30 or 6.

I usually move on out at about 1 or 1:30, lunch has turned over and people are getting back in lines. I try to get back in at 3 for the parades. Might be what the OP is looking for since he has young kids who like the parades.

But if I am trying to keep a kid up for fireworks I'd delay the nap time so they nap longer and can stay up later.

We typically leave the parks between 1:00 and 2:00, 3:00 at the latest and will return between 5:00 and 7:00.

Love this answer That's our general plan too. We're pretty much never in the parks between 1-5, which is why off-season travel doesn't work so much for us Thank goodness Halloween time really took off and we are able to enjoy the awesome October weather *and* longer park hours!

I go with Shannon on this. My kids are not small any longer but we always take a 1400 hrs break. This year I think they are going to try the pool.
