Time to re-brand RnRC?

I think so! My vote goes to Cruella. We rode today and while I still love the attraction, Aerosmith is tired.
I imagine Cruella’s car racing through London.606441

I mean, I do love me some Aerosmith, but I could see it. They aren't as relevant as they used to be. I actually like your idea about using Cruella. I was actually pretty surprised at how much I liked that movie. It has a great, if sometimes anachronistic, soundtrack too.

A few years back, after the RnRC pre-show, I made a lady laugh hysterically when after we were given our "backstage passes" I said, "Steven Tyler's such a nice old lady."

I don't think Aerosmith is tired at all. My son is 13 year and definitely does not listen to rock music at all and he knows who Aerosmith are. I have herd a bunch of rumors that the naming contract is ending soon which is why all the Aerosmith merchandise is gone from the ride store.

I will say it would be hard to rebrand it in 'Rock and Roll'. Most of todays music (pop/k-pop/hiphop) would not work.

There are still some authentic rock and roll groups out there but not sure what would fit as well that wouldn't be from the same era.

If they want to resonate with the little kids in my house, try this:

Or maybe this:

Hey, at least there are cars or something.....

No, I don't think its anywhere near time to change this very popular attraction.

I thought Aerosmith was tired back in the 80s but I was always a punk/new wave guy so all the 70s bands were all tired. I have noticed radio stations playing a lot of Permanent Vacation/Pump songs recently.

If you look in the gift shop at the end of the attraction, there's no longer any mention of Aerosmith on any of the signage or merchandise. And last month, Aerosmith signed a deal with Universal Music Group to bring its entire discography to UMG, along with the rights to merchandising and audio-video projects. So the signs are there that a rebranding may be in the works, but you never know how these things will work out.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some agreement between UMG/US and Disney similar to the Marvel agreement, though. I think RnR will eventually be rethemed but I don't think it's a priority just yet.

Would agree, there are many more projects in front of it.
Not sure there are many bands to replace them with. Suspect if they update it, it will go to a totally different theme. I still like the idea of taking that entire corner, including the Launch Bay and putting it into a Monsters Inc. theme.

....I had heard YEARS AGO that it was in the works to be slated as a Monsters Inc. attraction but I haven't heard any rumors lately. [Imagine recreating that chase scene where all the doors are housed, like at the end of the movie! Sah-WEEEEET] Interesting idea with that 101 Dalmatians thought though...
