Time to pick up rental car

We are renting a car from Dollar for our upcoming trip in November.
How much time should I allow for picking up the car? We are arriving at 1pm.
Any idea what the lines are like?
Is there anything I can do ahead of time to speed up the process?

Did you join Dollar Express? It's free and if you made your reservation under your member number then you get into a separate line at their reservation desk. If you did, you are in and out in about 5 minutes or less.

With Dollar Express they already have your license info and preferences( damage waiver, pre-paid gas, etc). This way they pull up your reservation, check your id, print the forms, you sign and go out to the garage to get your car. You may have a small line outside as they only have 1 or 2 people working that desk.

I will second Dollar Express. I was able to pass about 30 people in the regular line.

I just signed up for Dollar express.
question....once I get my ID number, can I modify my current reservation to add my ID number or will I have to make a new one?
Does anyone know?
