hello

We are stayign about a mile and half out of disney. When can you start to board the ship? What time should we leave for the ship?

Thanks for all you help

Scott

The port opens at 10:30am, I believe. Boarding generally begins between 12:15-12:30pm, which is earlier than the scheduled 1:00pm time.

It takes just over an hour to get to the port from the WDW resort. I'd try to get to the port at around 11:00am. That way you can check in and get a good spot in line to be among the first to board when they begin boarding. You can factor in having to drop off a rental car, etc. into your departure time.

I agree...it is about an hour drive...we just returned...we arrived at the port at 10:30 and there were a large # of people already there...by the time we finished registering it was about 11:30...we stood in line and they began boarding around 12:30...the crowds got very large after we were thru registering...so if you want to avoid long lines...get there around 10:30...that way you can be one of the 1st onboard and also avoid the loooong lines for the buffets. Plus if you are interested in Palo...you can get ressies early and still have plenty of time to avoid the long buffet lines.
